Responsibilities
OVERVIEW
The Media Operations Engineer will oversee and assist in technology processes and workflows of creative, post-production, and third-party teams for NBCUniversal in LatAm. Also, will be accountable for making recommendations, identifying opportunities, and carrying out improvements to keep high standards of service. This role will assist the operations and technology team in all technical media operations responsibilities.

Qualifications/Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Accountable for supporting and maintaining Post-Edit strategy across the region and developing improvement and optimization strategies
• Document current workflows and recommend new processes and operational changes when needed for the Technology and Operations team
• Responsible for partnering closely with Post-Production leadership and team to solution workflow design and process building
• Work as a liaison among Creative, Digital, IT and Engineering to complete assignments and carry out new projects
• Provide a high-quality service to the different clients in order to solve technical and operational issues timely and properly
• Assist in new projects and initiatives developed and leaded by Media Operations team
• Work with Digital Operations team in VOD/TV Everywhere integrations with affiliates and MVPDs

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 5+ years of experience in Media/Broadcast engineering
• 3+ Working knowledge of the post-production ecosystem
• Experience with digital delivery methods, such as AWS, Aspera P2P/Faspex, Signiant, FTP, etc.
• Working knowledge in AWS or Azure cloud services
• Must have experience with digital media file types and encoding workflows
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Fluent in English and Spanish is a must

DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS
• Experience working on OTT/Digital operations
• Experience at script language development that may be Python, Node.js, etc.
• Ability to manage numerous projects independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Self-starter and proactive thinker with an innate curiosity, bias for action
• Strong teamwork mentality to collaborate with internal and external partners in graphics and animation software including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, and ideally Maxon Cinema 4D although this is not essential.
• Excellent Apple Mac and Windows skills and an understanding of troubleshooting.
