Responsibilities
The Media Coordinator is a television news operations position with responsibilities that include nonlinear editing for newscasts, quality control of incoming and outgoing content, efficient and timely upload of Original and Broadcast content to all Telemundo platforms (Web, Mobile, VOD, 3rd Party Partner Sites), coordinating with the Assignments Desk and Field crews. This is a full-time staff position. Must be open to work to a flexible schedule depending upon station needs.
• Editing for newscast, and social media platforms as needed.
• Work closely with other Telemundo O & O and NBC affiliates to acquire the day's news.
• Troubleshoot transmission and file-based workflow issues as they arise in daily operations.
• Daily migration of video content to archive and or organization of daily folders.
• Working knowledge of Grass Valley edit system, including general monthly maintenance.
• Interfacing with other department's video content needs incoming/outgoing.

Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum of one- year television news production experience.
• Must be willing to work in Houston, Texas.
• Must be willing to work nights, overnights, weekends and holidays when necessary.
• Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice.
• Must be willing to submit to a background investigation.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be fluent in English and Spanish (speak, read & write).

Desired Characteristics
• Advanced video publishing techniques.
• Strong communication and writing skills.
• Familiarity with Broadcast video production workflow.
• Experience with video production.
• Working knowledge of still and moving imaging software for both Mac and PC.
