LOCATION: Beijing, China

JOB OVERVIEW
The Marketing Manager, based in our China Head Office in Beijing, has a reporting line to the Senior Marketing and Promotions Manager. The position is responsible for the support of paid marketing and third-party promotions for all Universal Pictures films released in China and assisting with the implementation of marketing materials in theaters nationwide.

THE ROLE
• Primarily focuses on the pitching, development and execution of third-party promotions with a view to generating maximum media exposure through marketing campaigns or screening programme support for each theatrical title released, and/or creating long term franchise development exposure;
• Includes supporting the Senior Marketing Manager in developing campaign marketing materials to support all paid advertising, events such as trade shows, consumer exhibitions,
• Includes working with the Director of Sales and Distribution and the Sales Team on the promotion and implementation of marketing campaigns in the exhibition environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support the Sr. Marketing and Promotions Manager in the presentation/pitching and management of all promotional partners, briefing of vendors and agencies. Liaise directly with the Head office to ensure all materials are optimized and guidelines and approvals are adhered to.
• Development of marketing plans for each film, including participation in brainstorming and strategic planning sessions, reviewing and adaptation of creative marketing materials.
• Timely production and distribution of advertising copy, and the production and distribution of in-theatre materials and ensuring the quality control of placement.
• Initiating and organizing promotional partnership roadshows, press and consumer events as well the development and production of all promotional premiums.
• Provide support to the Director of Sales and Distribution in preparing materials for various Trade Shows.
• Working with the Sales team to identifying marketing opportunities within the trade and developing proposals to enhance our presence plus ensuring optimal placement of all marketing materials distributed.

Qualifications/Requirements
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• 8 years+ working experience.
• Proven experience in pitching and presentation development.
• Event planning and execution experiences.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese.
• Experience in supporting and working closely with a senior international management team.
• Able to work to deadlines coupled with experience of working within a dynamic and fast-paced demanding environment.
• Able to work effectively in a complex, matrixed multinational organization.

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
• The individual must demonstrate absolute integrity, professionalism and operate with a great passion for detail, adherence to standards and consideration of consequences.
• Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information in a discrete manner.
• Commercially aware individual with proven ability to identify and drive strategy within an international organization.
• Comfortable dealing with senior management and international contacts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, proficient in PowerPoint and/or Keynote, Excel, Word.
• Speed and attention to detail for the execution of promotional contracts and agreement forms.

• Educated to degree level +
• Willingness and flexibility to travel and work overtime as required.
