Responsibilities

The Manager, Programming Publicity will be responsible for generating maximum, positive media for Telemundo's entertainment programming, with a focus on daytime shows. The role reports to the Director, Alternative Programming Publicity.

Job Duties
• Development and execution of strategic long-term and short-term publicity plans for external audiences (consumer media and influencers) to generate maximum amount of positive coverage focused on daytime and alternative programming properties
• Ensure digital publicity efforts are key part of all campaigns, utilizing thorough research to identify targets and establishing standard results measurement system across campaigns
• Create and implement publicity strategies and logistics to provide continuous support for Daytime and alternative properties, highlighting special events, exclusives and other activity to increase visibility and support overall growth of the properties.
• Create consumer press materials including press releases, photo shoots, EPK's, talent bios, satellite media tours, press junkets, media interviews, on-set visits, photo shoots and press kits under management supervision
• Brainstorm and execute strategies that support the network brand, help create awareness and drive traffic to Telemundo on-air and digital platforms, supporting these efforts through detailed metrics showing effectiveness of the strategy
• Seek opportunities to increase Daytime programming hosts visibility to increase overall awareness of shows
• Work hand in hand with Talent, Cross-promo and Marketing teams to maximize publicity opportunities for all shows across platforms
• Build and maintain solid relationships with influencers/bloggers, reporters, talent managers, talent publicists & show producers
• Service daily media requests and act as network source of information for assigned properties
• Monitor competitive environment via daily review of competitive/industry news, and interface with other departments and NBCUniversal TV channels on an as needed basis
• Works under the direct supervision of the Director, Alternative Programming Publicity and is responsible for completing any other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations or related field
• Minimum 5 years of publicity experience
• Ability to produce thorough reports and executive summaries detailing the results of strategic efforts for publicity campaigns
• Deep understanding of US Hispanic market and technical/social inclinations, as well as best practices for Social Media campaigns
• Highly organized and able to manage/prioritize multiple projects
• Must be fully fluent in Spanish and English

Additional Job Requirements
• Willingness to travel with short notice and on weekends
• Willingness to work flexible hours including late and/or last-minute scheduling changes in a 24/7 production work environment
• Must be willing to work in the greater Miami, Florida area
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
• Must submit an attestation disclosing your COVID_19 vaccination status and, if partially or fully vaccinated, submitting your vaccination record no later than 7 days following commencement of employment.
Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the commencement of employment or must undergo regular COVD-19 testing if Company determines your job position requires accessing an NBCUniversal worksite.
• Must be willing to adhere to all Company COVID-19 workplace safety policies and protocols.

• Proven skills in launching shows, crisis management and interfacing with all levels of executives, talent and media
• Experience pitching, booking and covering national and local media interviews
• Academic training in business fundamentals, new media trends and advertising
• Strategic, analytical and creative skill set
• Strong computer skills including extensive experience with Microsoft Office programs -Excel, Word, Power Point
• Self-starter who is highly organized and able to manage/prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Familiarity with US Hispanic media
• Attention to detail
• Experience in entertainment industry and enthusiasm for trends
• Able to work both independently and with a team
• Flexible work schedule with some early mornings, late nights and weekend work required to cover tapings, shoots and events, plus some travel
