Job Description

Responsibilities

Working closely with the President of Theatrical Distribution and the General Sales Manager, this role will evaluate performance in the theatrical distribution ecosystem, studying trends around box office performance, ticketing, advertising, partnerships, competition, etc. This role will be responsible for identifying relevant, useful insights and packaging them in a clear and concise way to share with executives within the film group.

Responsibilities:
• Become a power user of business intelligence software (ComScore, Unistar) to retrieve internal and competitive performance data
• Partner with and support all departments within the distribution team with data and analysis on a regular and ad-hoc basis
• Generate and distribute regular performance reporting, identifying key drivers & relevant insights
• Spearhead long term and ad-hoc projects for executive team regarding Universal releases throughout US and Canada
• Identify new insights on box office and competitive performance, while understanding past and present exhibitor trends
• Performance tracking, project management and preparation of sales materials for the sales team
• Identify new business ideas and practices to grow box office revenue
• Work independently to prioritize projects and turn around analysis in a dashboard or presentation format

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• BA/BS or equivalent experience in Economics, Statistics or similar quantitative field
• Strong Excel, Powerpoint, Tableau and PowerBi skills.
• Minimum 1 year data analysis or other relevant analytical experience
• 2+ years of experience in sales analysis or commercial finance in entertainment, distribution preferred

• Familiarity with ComScore
• Experience working with exhibitors and an understanding of the theatrical distribution ecosystem.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels in the organization, in writing and presentation
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Self-starter who can work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work under time sensitive conditions
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Ability to work with and collaborate with all teams within in the department
