Responsibilities

The Communications Manager, Technology, NBCUniversal Advertising & Partnerships, will support the division's media relations and communication's strategy for data, technology, advanced advertising, and measurement, aimed at positively positioning NBCUniversal and its brands among trade, client and business and technology audiences. This position reports to the VP, Corporate Communications, Advertising & Partnerships.

Responsibilities:
• Help execute the communications strategy for NBCUniversal's Advertising and Partnerships division, focusing on data, technology, advanced advertising, and measurement.
• Develop and maintain relationships with business, tech and trade journalists to proactively place stories around the company's technology accomplishments and business activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ideate and develop thought leadership content for owned and earned channels that places NBCU at the forefront on technology innovation.
• Coordinate and generate ideas and materials for NBCUniversal's presence at industry events, working collaboratively across marketing and other divisions.
• Provide internal and external communications support for executives across NBCUniversal's Advertising and Client Partnerships division.
• Serve as communications advisor to senior leaders of the division.
• Collaborate with a variety of different division teams, as well as partner closely with Internal Communications and Trade Marketing teams, and communications counterparts across the company.
• Generate press releases, executive bios, media alerts, talking points and other communications materials.
• Assist in updating and maintaining all team communications materials.

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent work experience
• 5 + years of progressive experience in communications or media relations with demonstrated experience in digital advertising and ad tech.

Desired Characteristics:
• Strong communications background, with experience in advertising technology and preferably experience in crisis management.
• Demonstrated interest and understanding of the role of data and technology within the advertising and media sector.
• A strong interest in media relations.
• Excellent writing skills with proven ability to simplify and communicate complex technical details to multiple audiences (via releases, press briefings, internal communications, and presentations).
• Experience working with executives to prep and train for media.
• Self-starter who can work independently and in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• A team player, willing to jump in on any project or assignment, big or small.
• The ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to exercise a high level of discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information

Salary Range: $75,000-$90,000; bonus eligible
