Job Description

Responsibilities

As a Manager of Account Services you will report directly into the Account Services Director. The responsibilities are to be the day to day liaison of a team of account service representatives responsible for providing post-sales support to NBCU advertising clients
• Acts as day- to- day liaison between the ASR team and the following groups: Advertising Sales, Strategic Planning, Inventory Management, Commercial Operations/Ad Ops, Finance and Billing to aid in resolving issues
• Represent the ASR team on projects regarding new applications, processes and procedures
• Work closely with ASR team to tactically drive company-wide goals and initiatives
• Maintain agency contact with personnel in various departments such as buying, accounting and traffic
• Work closely Director to improve best practices and business processes
• Ensure that the day-to-day operations of the ASR team are running smoothly, that accounts are properly managed and that the team is performing to meet both individual and team based goals
• Provide continuous education and mentoring for ASR team
• Analyze team workload and find ways to balance it across the group

Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3+ years' experience in media sales environment
• Previous experience with Sales systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint)
• Prior management experience preferred
• Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY
• Must be willing to submit to a background investigation
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older

Desired Characteristics
• Prior experience in an Account Services or Sales Planning leadership role preferred
• Excellent computer skills, demonstrated analytical ability and organizational/project management skills
• Knowledge of Nielsen rating system Network/cable ad sales traffic and/or planning knowledge is required.
• Proven ability to multi-task
• Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization
• Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, deadline-driven media environment
• Prior management experience
