Responsibilities
Job Duties
• Enterprise investigative news stories
• Gather, write and produce material in fair, accurate and balanced manner
• Provide news on-air and on other platforms as assigned from studio and field locations
• Create, report and help produce news specials and packages, based on either breaking news or on pre-planned stories
• Establish sources and build a strong list of story ideas on a year-round basis
• Active community involvement

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a television reporter
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an investigative reporter
• Bachelor's degree in Journalism/Communications or equivalent work experience

Eligibility Requirements
• Must be willing to work in Washington DC
• Must be 18 years or greater
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be available to evenings, weekends and holidays as required
• Must submit an attestation disclosing your COVID-19 vaccination status and, if partially or fully vaccinated, submitting your vaccination record no later than 7 days following commencement of employment.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the commencement of employment or must undergo regular COVID-19 testing if Company determines your job position requires accessing an NBCUniversal worksite.
• Must be willing to adhere to all Company COVID-19 workplace safety policies and protocols.

• Experience utilizing social media as a news gathering/reporting tool
• Experience with Computer Assisted Reporting and Data Analysis
• Experience with Freedom of Information Act Requests
• Spanish language skills a plus
