The Position

NBCUniversal Advertising Platforms & Operations is responsible for the product development, project management, and day-to-day operations of NBCUniversal's full advertising technology suite. From product management to program management, from sales enablement to sales operations, from product marketing to strategic communications, our division services both internal and external customers in support of NBCUniversal's $10B+ annual advertising business. Together, we're building the platform that powers the future of advertising at NBCU.

The Product Marketing team within Advertising Platforms & Operations is responsible for communicating the value proposition of our technology suite to our customers, prospects, and across the greater NBCUniversal organization. We are currently seeking an Information Designer to help us raise the level of our product marketing game and expand our practice through the creation and delivery of marketing materials and related content-decks, one-sheets, FAQs, website design/copy, videos, and more-to support NBCUniversal's internal and external stakeholders. The right person will use data visualization, infographics, and design to tell powerful, captivating stories that educate, inspire, and move people to action.

Responsibilities

Reporting into the Director, Product Marketing, the person in this role will:
• Use layout, color, graphics, fonts, and animation to create best-in-class product marketing materials to accompany NBCU's advertising technology solutions, with a particular focus on advanced advertising. This includes identifying marketing needs and analyzing available information, followed by content design and clear, effective writing, all to agreed deadlines
• Translate complex information into data visualizations that tell a compelling story about products, services, data, insights, and research for a variety of distribution channels and end users
• Partner with our Measurement & Impact team to build engaging case studies that prove the performance of NBCU's ad solutions
• Help drive adoption of NBCU advertising solutions with innovative positioning and clearly defined selling points
• Become an NBCU ad tech expert and evangelist by developing deep knowledge of NBCU's ad platforms, ad sales operations, related ad sales and research systems, and advertising client buying processes, as well as the advanced ad competitive landscape
• Support other members of the Product Marketing & Content Strategy team in everything from design to proofreading

Qualifications/Requirements

Required Qualifications/Skills
• 3+ years of full-time professional experience in marketing, preferably in B2B advertising or for a media technology provider
• Must have experience in a client-facing capacity, either internal or external (e.g., building client-facing materials, delivering presentations, conducting competitive analysis, and market research)
• Proficient in industry-standard graphic software tools like Adobe Creative Cloud (Ps, Ai, Id, Pr, Xd, etc.), mastery of PowerPoint, and experience in digital/web (HTML, CSS, PHP) and UX/UI design
• Ability to listen to complex ideas and distill them into easy-to-understand concepts
• Outstanding research skills coupled with an ability to transform requirements into appealing and informative designs
• Ability to tailor complicated stories and insights to the intended target audience in their language (i.e., how they're comfortable and most receptive)
• Demonstrated interest and fluency in advertising measurement and research methodologies
• Experience working and collaborating with measurement and research teams, business owners, product owners, and other subject matter experts at all levels within an organization, from support to senior management
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
• Proven experience following style guides with strong attention to detail
• Highly organized and a self-starter, able to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Genuine enthusiasm for and commitment to improving customer experiences through outstanding content
• Portfolio featuring your innovative work that stretches across multiple platforms

Desired Characteristics
• Degree in Information Design, Graphic Design, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Good working knowledge of media, media technology, and traditional vs. advanced advertising; for example, you know and can articulate the differences between linear TV, OTT, and OLV; you understand and can explain the advantages of both Nielsen demo-based buys and advanced audience-based buys
• Video and animation experience a plus
