HR Generalist, Corporate Functions (Staff w/ End Date)

Responsibilities

Role

Dynamic and exciting opportunity to provide human resources support for clients within the Corporate Functions organization of NBCUniversal. The Human Resources Generalist will provide broad HR support across Legal, Finance and HR Corporate Functions teams. She/he/they will have responsibility for directly supporting clients, providing strategic input into organizational design, managing employee relations issues, ensuring a robust talent pipeline, leading the performance management process, compensation planning, succession planning and all other HR initiatives for this population. This role will also be expected to partner closely with her/his/their HR counterparts for the business Legal/Finance/HR teams enterprise-wide to ensure implementation of corporate initiatives. This role will report directly into the Manager, Legal, Human Resources.

Please note: This role is a temporary staff position with an anticipated end date of January 2022.

Responsibilities
• Serve as an HR contact for and partner with business HR Managers on all matters regarding the Corporate Functions across businesses at NBCUniversal both domestically and internationally in areas that include compensation and title equity, talent reviews and succession planning, staffing/recruitment, and internal talent mobility
• Provide guidance and support to the HR Coordinators supporting Corporate Functions
• Collaborate with various business leaders to design and implement employee development programs
• Partner closely with the functional leaders to manage strategic initiatives for legal, including: employee engagement, retention, compensation/title analyses, employee relations matters, and organizational structuring, career development & diversity programs
• Manage day-to-day HR responsibilities, including: salary/bonus planning, staffing, off-boarding, performance management, reporting/analytics, etc.
• Provide HR counsel to clients and their teams on employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent enforcement of policies and practices
• Act as liaison between clients and core staff functions by assisting with rolling out new company/HR initiatives and communicating information relating to career development, recognition programs, payroll, benefits, training and staffing
• Mentor and provide guidance to employees related to their career goals. Build benchmarks within the legal function by identifying training and development opportunities for talent throughout NBCUniversal
• Other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Management or related field
• 3+ years working within the HR function, or a combination of education and other relevant experience

Eligibility Requirements
• Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA or New York, NY
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States

Desired Characteristics
• Demonstrated ability to drive HR processes and to deliver high quality HR services in a fast paced, high change environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Thorough knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience with HR information systems, such as SAP
