Role

NBCUniversal is seeking a seasoned HR Generalist responsible for performing a broad range of HR and operational support for a fun and fast-paced client base within the NBC Entertainment team. This position interfaces with a number of business partners and provides broad HR operational support to a client base consisting of staff, Run of Show employees, Freelancers and Union employees. This role is the first point of contact for staff and has a unique opportunity to shape the employee experience.

Responsibilities:
• Provide HR operational support for all Human Resources clients, including: recruitment, on-boarding, off-boarding, compensation analysis, performance management, and reporting/analytics.
• Partner with HR leadership to support clients with employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and practices
• Mentor and provide guidance to all clients, related to career development
• Work closely with Talent Acquisition and Internship Program teams to successfully onboard new hires and interns
• Maintain organizational structure in SAP, processing organizational changes as needed
• Monitor and report COVID-19 test results as needed
• Oversee LOA processes; processing transactions and ensuring LOA pay is accurate as well as educating employees on LOA processes and procedures
• Liaise with various HR specialties and partners, including Benefits and Payroll, to manage and resolve day to day employee issues
• Respond to client's HR questions including, but not limited to benefits, payroll, vacation or redirect employees to appropriate contacts in a timely manner
• Attend & participate in training courses pertinent to Human Resources as required

• Partner with HR team and leadership to create, plan, and execute on-site culture building activities and events
• Support with ad hoc team projects as needed

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required
• 3+ years working within the HR function

Eligibility Requirements
• Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA when staff returns to office (date TBD)
• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States

• Demonstrated ability to drive HR processes and to deliver high-quality HR services in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
• High sense of urgency and customer service
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
• Highly resourceful and organized with exceptional follow-through and attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to creatively solve problems
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word
• Experience with HR information systems (ie. SAP)
