Responsibilities

We're looking for an FP&A Analyst to join the FP&A and Commercial Finance team to support the Studio in its next stage of growth. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, this role will have a broad array of responsibilities and exposure to multiple stakeholders within finance and the wider business. The FP&A and Commercial Finance team's role, as a key business partner, is to provide meaningful reporting and analysis to our production labels and senior stakeholders across the Studio, as well as accurate and timely reporting to Corporate and our LA-based parent Studio, Universal Studio Group.

Key Responsibilities
• Supporting the Senior Finance Manager with the maintenance and review of the consolidated forecast
• Preparing key deliverables, including monthly pacing, annual budget and long-range planning cycles
• Partnering with forecast owners to ensure information is up to date and proactively managing any risks or opportunities
• Leading on KPI reporting and variance analysis for corporate and our LA-based parent Studio; continually looking for ways to improve quality of the reporting and ensure it meets stakeholder needs
• Team superuser for our forecasting system (SMART), taking ownership of data and responsible for maintaining accounts and reconciliations
• Systems lead for month end and quarter end cycles, including updating FX rates, amortization of costs, and transfer of data between SMART/SAP
• Preparation of reporting decks, including title ultimate (lifetime forecast) reporting and quarterly management reporting for our senior leadership team
• Working closely with the Finance Team and other key business functions to turn data into commercial insight to support effective decision making
• Ad-hoc projects and tasks as required

Qualifications
• Part-qualified accountant (CIMA / ACA / ACCA) with experience in FP&A (experience in Production accounting is desirable, but not essential)
• Interest in IT business reporting systems (e.g., BPC) and willingness to develop skills to become Finance Superuser for the team. BPC (or similar e.g., TM1/Hyperion/Cognos) experience advantageous
• Strong PC skills - SAP/BW experience preferred, strong Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent verbal and written presentation skills
• Proactive and solution focused with high attention to detail, strong analytical skills and interest in process improvement
• Ability to prioritise workflow and deliver accurate work to a high standard within short and unpredictable deadlines
• Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Enthusiastic self-starter with an ambition to grow through the role
• TV, media and relevant industry experience is preferable
• Previous experience of ultimates accounting would be advantageous
