Responsibilities

Role Purpose:

The Financial Analyst participates in the day-to-day operations of the Olympics finance team and will assist in a wide range of accounting, finance and consolidation matters for the group. This role will be a central part of the Olympics Finance team and support all aspects of financial planning cycles as well as reporting and analysis needs. The role interfaces with multiple operators and teams internally within Sports as well as within wider NBCU matrix organizations. This position is an integral part of the team and reports into the Director of FP&A.

Responsibilities:
• Key contributor to the quarter close process including posting close journal entries, monitoring and validating balances, preparing account reconciliations and investigating variances to prior periods
• Support the Olympics operational finance team in all aspects of planning processes, budgeting, and monthly pacing, including analyzing key metrics and overall trends
• Partner and communicate regularly with Sales, Marketing and Research teams to develop and manage budgets as well as tracking spend
• Prepare NBCU Corporate data request submissions, gathering and consolidating information from various sources
• Perform ad hoc analyses as needed, providing insightful views into Olympic operations and financial performance
• Manage the Free Cash Flow process by working closely with other groups, with a focus on production finance

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field
• Minimum of 0 to 1 years of experience in Finance or Accounting

Additional Qualifications:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent excel skills
• Financial reporting experience
• Ability to work in rapidly changing environment
• Experience in using budget/planning systems a plus
