Overview

The Finance Director supervises the finance function of UPI in the Netherlands and the key purpose of this role is to provide in-territory financial and operational leadership. The Finance Director provides business support to the Managing Director (MD), providing a forward-looking vision on the financial performance, revenue & profitability analysis and identifying risks and opportunities in a timely manner. The Finance Director is a member of the local Senior Management Team (SMT) and works closely with the local Marketing and Sales teams, as well as international stakeholders in London and LA. This Finance Director is responsible for all the monthly reporting to NBCUniversal, and its Partner Studios - Sony and Paramount.

Key Responsibilities
• Partner with the MD and SMT to contribute to the successful running of the Netherlands theatrical team and track P&L performance
• Provide commercial support to ensure financial considerations are built into all tactical and strategic decision-making
• Support MD & SMT during deal negotiations with major customers and vendors
• Proactively manage and develop a team of two finance team members
• Responsible for timely and accurate budgeting, reporting, forecasting and analysis of UPI Netherlands as required by local and group senior management to Europe / LA Finance
• Responsible for effective controls across all operational and financial processes
• Act as budget holder for UPI Netherlands operating expenses, including headcount and salary planning
• Management of outsourced finance activities via NBCU Financial Operations and Accenture teams, including, AR, AP and R2R, to minimise business impact and mitigate risk
• Responsible for all applicable Partner financial reporting to Sony and Paramount on a timely basis, ensuring UPI Netherlands operates within the contractual terms
• Participate and act as business sponsor on all business change projects and systems implementation
• Responsible for all accounting records, for both internal and external reporting - sign off annual statutory accounts
• Key point of contact for internal and external audit teams Knowledge, skills and abilities

• Extensive experience within a media environment
• Proven leadership skills and ability to drive projects from inception through to completion
• Proven ability to partner and influence senior stakeholders
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Strong analytical skills

Qualifications / Requirements
• Relevant degree or an accredited professional finance qualification
• Very strong MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook) skills and Financial Modeling skills
• Exceptional oral and written English communication skills
• Knowledge of the Dutch language is a plus, but not necessary
