Responsibilities
The Position
NBCUniversal Advertising Platforms & Operations is responsible for the product development, project management, and day-to-day operations of NBCUniversal's full advertising technology suite. From product management to program management, from sales enablement to sales operations, from product marketing to strategic communications, our division services both internal and external customers in support of NBCUniversal's $10B+ annual advertising business. Together, we're building the platform that powers the future of advertising at NBCU.
The Customer Solutions team within Advertising Platforms & Operations is responsible for leading the product development processes for the technology solutions delivered to our advertising partners. We are currently seeking a Director, Product – Demand Innovation (Self-Serve) to help drive customer innovation and deliver high-growth ad products across NBCUniversal's ecosystem. The ideal candidate is a highly collaborative person who is passionate about media and advertising innovation, cares about customers, and understands the value of good user experiences.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with Sales, Planning, Strategy, Data, Content, and Engineering teams to develop and deliver best-in-class innovative demand products.
• Own product roadmap and oversee product along its full lifecycle, from roll-out to sunset.
• Manage multi-faceted products running across diverse platforms (CTV, mobile, web, app) on local, national, and international markets.
• Oversee technical integrations in partnership with engineering teams (both internal and external).
• Pair business understanding and technical expertise to clearly define technical and functional requirements, write user-stories, and inform and track implementation.
• Source internal and external customer feedback to measure product success and inform roadmap and implementation prioritization.
• Define product experiments, iterate on product to improve performance, user experience and drive business value.
• Conduct frequent proof of concepts with cross-functional stakeholders to identify solutions, roadblocks and risks when activating new and innovative product solutions.
• Stay apprised of competitive video, streaming, and tech products in the marketplace.
Qualifications/Requirements
Required Qualifications
• 4-6+ years of experience working in media, preferably involving advertising, product development and monetization
• Good understanding of the ad-buying universe from DSPs to social ad managers
• Proven track record of owning customer-facing product solutions in cross-functional environments
• Fluency with data; can dissect and interpret market dynamics and user behaviors, measure product key metrics, identify pinch-points and communicate succinctly next steps to executives
• Experience collaborating with external vendors and managing product roadmaps
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the demonstrated ability to take the seed of an idea through launch while prioritizing effectively to get things done
• Knowledge of technical and operational product and project requirements
• Proven ability to understand and communicate using technical language (e.g., APIs, requirements documents, agile systems, etc.)
