Responsibilities
Job Purpose

Work with a professional, driven and highly motivated team as an integral part of the One Platform Ad Sales team at NBCUniversal. The Director, Ad Sales is a key contributor in developing sales and go-to-market strategies for NBCUniversal's properties. This person will represent the NBCUniversal portfolio to agencies and clients and work on building strategic and data-driven solutions across linear and digital platforms. As a Director of Ad Sales, you will be responsible for revenue goals, growing existing business and developing new business.

Duties and Responsibilities

Client Relationships
• Own, manage, and develop relationships with clients, agencies and advertisers through day-to-day interactions; actively grow industry relationships in order to gain marketplace intelligence
• Focus on driving partner revenue including ReachTV / airport partners
• Understand clients' marketing objectives and develop a program to achieve these objectives
• Look for opportunities to develop monetizable solutions for clients and ensure clients receive superior customer service

Negotiation
• Negotiate complex deals at top management level that affect major aspects of advertising sales division performance
• Pursue and close challenging and strategic accounts
• Develop and execute sales strategy across all platforms to maximize revenue

Leadership
• Help lead and reinvent breakthrough ad sales strategies
• Partner with One Platform Ad Sales teams to grow airport revenue
• Evaluate the performance of advertising sales programs against desired outcomes

Communication
• Internally serve as Brand Leader and develop tools and messaging to all internal parties
• Represent NBCU in Ad Sales business community and manage relationships with various constituents
• Communicate and collaborate internally with other departments including Pricing & Planning, Marketing, Research and Client Solutions

Qualifications/Requirements
• Minimum 6 years of media sales experience
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required with an advanced degree ideal
• Established network of contacts and relationships within the ad sales business community
• Proven experience in prospecting new clients, generating sales leads and closing deals

Eligibility Requirements
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY
• Willingness to travel and work overtime
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older
