Job Description
Responsibilities

The Director, Audience Development will identify and grow high-value audiences across multiple networks, franchises and digital products. The focus of the position will be to leverage analytics and internal partnerships to drive significant increases in addressable audiences and engagement across social, web, video, and search channels. The ability to leverage multi-platform behavioral and audience data sets will be vital to success in this role.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute a repeatable strategy and framework for growing audience engagement, particularly with editorial content on web, social, and CRM channels
• Work closely with editorial and product teams to identify strategic content and feature opportunities that will drive higher reach, engagement and conversion
• Developing an integrated and comprehensive growth strategy across search, social, direct and syndication traffic channels
• Use analytics to identify testing opportunities, and maintain testing log of results and successes, so learnings can be compounded on future efforts
• Engage with Analytics team to create necessary dashboards for reporting
• Create business cases and complete look-back analysis to show profitability of campaigns
• Establish working relationships with internal partners to support social, search, video, editorial content, and the expansion of functional enhancements that create new channels for reach and engagement
• Identity, manage and grow content syndication partnerships that drive reach, engagement and revenue
• Create campaign postmortems, monthly scorecards, and quarterly business reports to inform stakeholders, department leads and team members.

Salary range: $105,000 - $140,000 (bonus eligible).

Qualifications

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree, plus 7+ years in digital content, content marketing, and audience development for brands and publishers
• Demonstrated expertise in search engine optimization
• Demonstrated expertise in social media platform optimization and publishing
• Paid media, agency, and audience segmentation experience is a plus
• Strong presentation skills
• Proven ability to lead a team and work in a hybrid environment. This position will be based in LA or NY
• Strong negotiation, conflict resolution and communication skills
• Established experience with analytics platforms; Adobe, mParticle, Amplitude, Tableau, Google Analytics, Domo, etc.
• Ability to analyze and apply data to improve results
