Responsibilities
The Sales Strategy & Operations team is responsible for developing a holistic ad sales strategy for the NBCUniversal portfolio of assets, both linear and digital. That includes identifying profitable revenue opportunities, developing the structure, capabilities, go-to-market strategies, and execution plans necessary to capture growth opportunities. We partner closely with the sales teams, the network/edit/site teams, and various internal functions (Finance, Research, HR, etc.) to manage the ad sales business across all screens (linear and digital). Additionally, this is the team that executes on our digital promises to our clients. This group charts the specific sales strategies for the teams, and then ensures NBCU can deliver on those promises for our clients.
The Director of Ad Sales Strategy is responsible for driving the annual strategic planning process, working closely with strategy business owners, product management, sales and sales support functions (finance, research & insights, planning, etc.). In partnership with senior strategy leaders, she/he will identify, define, size and implement revenue generating initiatives that support the overall ad sales strategy, focusing on driving digital growth and NBCU's overall multiplatform evolution. The Director will also work on additional strategic initiatives across NBCU's ad-supported product portfolio, as required.
The core responsibilities include the following:
• Structure and oversee roll out of annual strategic planning process, coordinating opportunity identification and plan development across multiple strategic growth areas
• Partner with Ad Sales Strategy leaders to build strategic and go-to-market plans and ensure initiatives are compelling, well defined, and properly documented to enable successful execution
• Assist business leaders with analysis, market intelligence and presentation support as needed as an input to business planning
• Serve as a conduit between Strategy and Product teams, facilitating ongoing communication and coordination of strategic and product planning processes
• Track and report on progress against KPIs for strategic initiatives to ad sales leadership on an ongoing basis
• Contribute to annual budget setting process, ensuring that sales teams have the resources required to deliver on revenue goals
• Support additional high-impact strategic projects across the wider ad sales portfolio with market research, analysis and strategic thinking to drive NBCUs ad sales growth agenda

Qualifications/Requirements
Exceptional, results-driven and focused individual, combining a quantitative outlook with the ability to organize, motivate and lead stakeholders from across vertical and wider portfolio to drive change
• Passion for diving into complex concepts, defining value propositions and championing the voice of sales throughout our Entertainment and Sports brand partners
• Analytically-driven thought leader who can perform business analysis and real-time tactical execution of priority initiatives
• Flexible, able to deal with ambiguity and comfortable working in a fast paced, results oriented environment, and aligning the interests of multiple stakeholders
• Self-starter who can perform independently and proactively while working in a collaborative team environment
• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience required; MBA preferred
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in either strategy, finance, media, research, consulting, sales or a combination of the above
• Experience in digital media, advertising, and sales preferred
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Outstanding interpersonal & networking skills
• Advanced quantitative and analytical skills including high levels of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
• Ability to travel as required
