Job Description

Responsibilities
The Director, Ad Sales Finance will be responsible for advertising sales revenue projections and analyses for the NBCUniversal Cable television brands within the Entertainment & Lifestyle Group, with also a focus on one of the six cable networks. This role provides a unique opportunity to work across the Entertainment & Lifestyle Group brands with NBCU Ad Sales, Planning, Research, Program Scheduling and Finance functions.
• • Prepare Annual Operating Budget, Long-Range Plan, Quarterly Forecasts and other estimates and presentations as required
• Create, own and maintain financial models for Entertainment & Lifestyle Group ad sales revenue for all key financial forecast cycles and weekly pacing and reporting
• Develop and own consolidated reporting and analytical processes for Entertainment & Lifestyle Group TV revenue
• Analyze and report sales risks and opportunities by identifying key revenue drivers (e.g. ratings, price, and volume) for cable television group
• Responsible for primary sales finance functions including, but not limited to pricing analyses and monthly financial close
• Develop strong stakeholder relationships with Sales, Planning, and other teams, maintaining effective communication channels
• Work closely with Sales & Planning, Inventory, Program Scheduling in core sales functions:
• Commercial inventory utilization, analysis and forecasting
• Advertising Sales marketplace pricing analysis
• Perform and review ad hoc analyses on financial impact of programming schedule changes and program acquisitions and profitability
• Improve depth of existing reporting to provide better analytical tools for both Finance and Sales teams
• Evaluate and automate current forecasting models and tools to improve efficiency and streamline reporting processes
• Reports directly to and provide support to the Entertainment & Lifestyle Group Vice President, Ad Sales Finance
• Manage and collaborate with Entertainment & Lifestyle Ad Sales Finance team

Qualifications/Requirements
• Four-year degree (B.A., B.S.) in Finance, Accounting or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of experience in financial management, revenue modeling and analysis
• Possess comprehensive understanding of and ability to interpret financial information
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Ability to perform in-depth and detailed analyses yet summarize key takeaways
• Effectively communicate financial information to finance and non-finance stakeholders as well as cultivate collaborative cross-functional partnerships
• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
• Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and lead a team

Eligibility Requirements
• Must be willing to submit to a background investigation
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older
