Responsibilities
The Ad Sales Finance team is seeking an experienced professional to join as the Director, Ad Sales Finance, supporting all aspects of the Hispanic Group TV pricing & sales forecasting, revenue analysis, systems maintenance, and financial closes. The positions will offer great exposure within the Hispanic Ad Sales Group, which includes Broadcast (Telemundo), Cable (NBC Universo) and Telemundo Deportes (Sports) properties including the World Cup.
• Provide ongoing support to Vice President, Ad Sales Finance in fundamental reporting and analysis
• Manage and develop Ad Sales Finance Manager
• Ownership of Sales reporting and metrics analysis (weekly, monthly, quarterly)
• Drive revenue forecasting process (budget, long range plan, estimates)
• Supervise execution of monthly/quarterly financial close
• Conduct and deliver financial insights and analysis on major sales KPIs including revenue variances, cash pacing, pricing, ratings, and liability.
• Analyze trends to identify risks and opportunities.
• Run marketplace analytics on client and category spend.
• Research drivers of key variances and trends
• Improve depth of existing reporting to provide better analytical tools for both Finance and Sales teams
• Develop expertise in TV ad market trends, growth, and competition
• Work cross-functionally on ad hoc, Sales/Planning related project work
Qualifications/Requirements
• Four-year degree (B.A., B.S.) in Business, Accounting, or Finance
• 6+ years finance experience, preferably in ad sales, cable, or broadcast television environment
• Advanced Excel/PowerPoint skills
• Experience working with SAP, Sales Systems
• Ability to work effectively with diverse internal groups at all levels
• Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY
• Must be willing to submit to a background investigation
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older
