Responsibilities
Role Purpose
The Coordinator, Corporate Social Responsibility will support NBCUniversal's mission to bring together diverse communities and inspire our employees to make an impact through NBCUnites, our internal volunteer initiative & social impact program. The person in this role will help the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team empower employees to get involved with causes they care about. By coordinating event logistics, building creative volunteer opportunities, and supporting team administration, this role will help NBCUniversal support underserved communities where we live and work.

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate logistics for volunteer events. Tasks can include (for in-person events) booking event space, coordinating deliveries like event supplies or catering, setting up & breaking down event spaces, assisting with guest arrivals, helping with event facilitation, and (for virtual events) helping with technical set-up and supporting attendees with troubleshooting.
• Support NBCUnites day to day partnership management, including meeting scheduling, joining weekly calls, creating content for emails and social media, drafting partnership agreements, processing invoices, etc.
• Support Project Innovation, NBCU's annual grant making program. This includes supporting program management and communications, assisting nonprofits with application questions and technical support, reviewing applications, and processing payments to grantees.
• Participate in brainstorming of volunteer event programming for various internal and external partners including our internal employee resource groups. This includes ideating icebreakers, activities, event curriculum, and interactive elements for events.
• Draft presentations, including data centric recaps, event materials, or roadshow presentations.

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
• At least 2 years of administrative or similar experience in a corporate environment and/or the nonprofit sector.
• Demonstrated experience with event or meeting planning (such as room booking, catering, coordinating logistics, and making creative suggestions).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel & Word.
• Bachelor's degree.

Eligibility Requirements
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY.
• Must submit an attestation disclosing your COVID-19 vaccination status and, if partially or fully vaccinated, submitting your vaccination record no later than 7 days following commencement of employment.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the commencement of employment or must undergo regular COVID-19 testing if Company determines your job position requires accessing an NBCUniversal worksite.
• Must be willing to adhere to all Company COVID-19 workplace safety policies and protocols.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
• Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU's Alterative Resolution Program.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

• Experience setting up virtual meetings in Microsoft Teams, WebEx or Zoom.
• Community oriented with a passion for service. Demonstrated interest in volunteering, working with nonprofits, or supporting community organizations.
• Prior experience working or volunteering in the nonprofit sector a plus.
• Graphic design skills (photo editing, Photoshop, InDesign) a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP or Pivot Tables) a plus.
• A creative thinker – someone with unique ideas and suggestions to engage employees, nonprofits, and students and keep them returning to future NBCUnites events.
• A problem solver – someone solutions oriented who can anticipate issues, escalate concerns, identify areas for improvement, and work independently to resolve issues quickly & effectively.
