Responsibilities
As the Coordinator for Content Acquisition, you will support the acquisitions team as it licenses content for NBCUniversal's streaming service, Peacock.
You will be required to track deals, monitor changes to the contracts, manage terms and usage, and maintain the accuracy of this data in the corresponding system(s) and reports.
Acquisitions:
• When new content is acquired, enter pertinent details into all systems utilized across the Peacock teams.
• Manage the acquired inventory and prepare ad hoc reports and presentations.
• Track upcoming theatricals/series to target for acquisition over the next several years.
• Update/maintain/provide various reports that are required by department management.
• Provide contractual information to editorial, operations, finance teams as needed.
• Track the status of contracts for each of our deals, coordinating with Legal to stay up to date on the most recent communications with distributors.
• Upload contracts and other back-up documentation into inventory management systems.
• Draft final deal allocation spreadsheets to summarize closed deals for finance.
• Work with the acquisitions finance team to ensure payment schedules are approved, and input payment schedules into necessary systems.
• Screen movies and series and provide feedback on potential fit for Peacock.
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree and at least 2 year of experience in the field of Entertainment Media
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint)
• Exceptional attention to detail required for contract management
• Love of movies and TV
• Awareness of the TV landscape including platforms such as Netflix, Disney+, Hulu and Amazon Prime
• Flexibility with day to day schedule
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and drive them to completion
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Team player
• Pro-active thinker/self-starter
Desired Characteristics
• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel
• Experience in working with legal contracts and understanding of contractual language
• Financial knowledge
