Responsibilities
Job Purpose:
The Communications Coordinator will support the Communications department for the Television and Streaming Entertainment division. The role supports two teams: (1) the Strategic Communications team in executing external and internal communications for diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives as well as multicultural communications for shows and corporate DEI programs, and (2) the Scripted Publicity team with integrated publicity campaigns for scripted series across all seven networks.
The ideal candidate is someone who will stop as they scroll through their Instagram feed to read posts like why Latinx has been widely adopted by the media and will be excited to find things like a new media outlet that targets LGBTQ audiences. This person will also have a deep desire to work in publicity and communications, particularly the piece that is centered around strategy and pitching stories to journalists. Finally, the ideal candidate is a voracious TV viewer who thrives on being the ''go-to'' for the latest in pop culture.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Support the Television and Streaming Entertainment Communications team with development of PR plans, media relations execution, development of key messages and positioning, and internal communications
• Execute media relations campaigns with tasks such as writing pitches, building and maintaining media lists for general market and targeted media outlets, drafting messaging, pitching reporters, flagging upcoming special issues (i.e. the OUT 100 issue), tracking coverage and preparing press coverage reports
• Liaise with external multicultural organizations for show and executive participation in festivals, summits and panels
• Participate as part of the team in brainstorms for show premieres, new DEI initiatives, panel topics and events
• Collaborate with internal teams including Marketing, Social, Photo and Scheduling for show campaigns
• Communicate with representatives of onscreen talent and producers with interview requests, scheduling for press tours and travel itineraries
• Work and facilitate virtual press events including press tours, roundtables, award shows and red carpet events
• Maintain the calendars and manage the schedules of your managers
• Phone and administrative duties such as scheduling interviews, booking travel and processing invoices

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Minimum 1 year experience in a fast-paced office environment
