Responsibilities

Job Purpose:
The Coordinator, Communications will assist in the day-to-day activities managing show publicity and supporting the VP of Communications for the Universal Studio Group division. This position is based in the Universal City, CA offices but will start as working remotely. Essential Responsibilities:
• Function as administrative liaison to departmental staff, external vendors and consultants
• Answer telephones and perform administrative duties such as calendar scheduling, booking travel, processing invoices, preparing expense reports, reconciling p-cards, among others
• Maintain/update press contact database
• Prepare internal and external distributions and correspondence
• Prepare programming team calendars
• Support Communications team on series campaigns as needed
• Maintain standards of strict confidentiality with respect to all matters and documents
• Maintain series team budget tracker
• Assist publicists with tracking press coverage and maintaining show press reports
• Maintain series team status document
• Assist publicists with show sheets including update talent information along with their representatives
• Work and facilitate press events including semi-annual press tours, award shows, specials and events
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with talent, producers, public relations agencies and representatives, agents, managers, production staff, media and programming executives in order to ensure maximum positive coverage for Universal Studio Group programming

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 1 year public relations experience, including internships
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Eligibility Requirements:
• Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice
• Must be willing to work in Universal City, California
• Must have work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
