Responsibilities
Shop TODAY, the commerce arm of TODAY, is looking for an Editor to edit and write shoppable content and support the team.

The ideal candidate will have a mix of editorial and research skills with a firm understanding of trends and product news within the lifestyle space. This candidate should have the ability to pitch and edit content focused on product categories across fashion, home, parenting, beauty, health and food. They should be able to use data and analytics to support editorial decisions and create content that will help readers make informed shopping decisions.
• A mix of editing, pitching and assigning 3-4 trending and news e-commerce articles each day consisting of rounds-up, explainers, social media trends and more in the lifestyle space
• Work with freelancers and in-house writers to field pitches and assign stories
• Work across teams to optimize articles for search, social and Shop TODAY readers
• Brainstorm franchises, break-out explainers and in-depth trend reports to support the health of the trending and news lifestyle commerce team
• Work alongside senior editor to manage daily newsletters
• Monitor how stories are performing using our analytics programs

Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications/Requirements:
• At least 3 years editing experience, preferably in the editorial lifestyle space
• Strong understanding of the digital lifestyle space – knows what is trending or popular for beauty, fashion, home, fitness, etc.
• Familiarity with a news cycle and working in a deadline-driven environment
• Ability to edit quickly and accurately
• E-commerce experience a plus
• A wide network of freelancers a plus

Additional Requirements:
