NBCUniversal International Distribution is responsible for the distribution of NBCUniversal product to all forms of television and new media to over 200 territories outside of the US and Canada. This includes a rich library of more than 4,200 feature films and 110,000 television episodes, including current and classic titles, non-scripted programming, sports, news, long-form and short-form programming, and locally produced content from around the world. International Distribution is a division of Comcast NBCUniversal.

JOB OBJECTIVE

The role of Manager within Business Insights for International Digital Distribution is responsible for the creation and distribution of reports, dashboards and forecasts, as well as other commercial financial analysis of NBC Universal's filmed entertainment and television product for International Digital Distribution (including VOD, Electronic Sell-Through, Premium windows and Ad supported VOD).
Data manipulation and management is a key part to the role - working towards improving existing processes and systems as well as forward looking to implement new strategies to drive efficiency in this area. A primary function of the role is to provide important tactical and strategic analysis to support the growth of the international digital distribution content licensing business. Finding and communicating the story within the data, analysis and insight.
The role will help develop and maintain an automated financial workflow for the AVOD business – enabling effective reporting and analysis of ad-revenues to and from stakeholders. As well as tracking engagement of content across various channels, the role will entail forward looking insight and recommendations to identify revenue generating opportunities.
The Manager will also be the key person to provide Business Analytics support for all projects and initiatives being conducted by Business Insights team as well as the wider Digital Distribution team - providing expertise and technical skills to ensure they receive the information and details they require.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

⦁ Monitor and communicate market trends, competitive landscape and communicate insights to the business
⦁ Produce regular performance reporting & dashboards for the international digital distribution business, covering all types of content and with both international and territory specific remit
⦁ Conduct performance analysis, to support both tactical and strategic initiatives
⦁ Manage collation of multiple data sets in internal systems and maintain reporting tools, working with external agencies where appropriate
⦁ Work in conjunction with Finance and Sales to provide detailed analysis budgeting as well as revenue forecasting at both a title level and content owner level
⦁ Review competitor data including pricing, release windows and promotional activity to influence NBCU initiatives
⦁ Lead ad hoc growth analyses to cultivate understanding of product consumption and consumer trends in various regions to drive more informed distribution decisions
⦁ Liaise with Data Warehouse teams and manage relationships with IT
⦁ Work with ad-sales teams (both in house and out), utilise Google Ad Manager & YouTube Content Owners to gather financial reports and manage their ingestion into internal process/systems
⦁ Manage close relationship with internal Research team and customers to distil market research, industry forecasts and competitive landscape information into meaningful analysis to support evolving deal constructs
⦁ Develop and manage two direct reports within the BI Team including management of annual intern recruitment process

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

⦁ Experience within an insights, analytics function
⦁ Advanced data manipulation skills including SQL, Python, Power BI and Excel
⦁ Experience in analysis, insight and working with complex data
⦁ Proven track record of generating actionable insights through a data driven narrative
⦁ Comfortable working with, and ability to summarise key findings from, large data sets
⦁ Experience in aggregating, manipulating and visualizing data into actionable insights
⦁ An ability to design atheistically pleasing deliverables (dashboards, reports etc.)
⦁ Methodical, accurate and organised with excellent attention to detail
⦁ Ability to work independently with ability to take initiative and prioritise workloads
⦁ Ability to cope in a dynamic & changeable environment in a calm and professional manner
⦁ Demonstrated strong quantitative, financial and analytical skills
⦁ Previous experience in Media preferable but more important is a can-do mentality
⦁ An active interest and understanding of the international digital distribution business
⦁ Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills
⦁ Passion for TV and film content
