Job Description
Responsibilities

Matchbox Pictures is looking for a Business Affairs Coordinator to join their busy and experienced Business & Legal Affairs (BALA) team for up to 10 months (parental leave cover). Ideal candidates will include those with production office or production clearance experience who are looking to broaden their business affairs skillset; those with business affairs experience in the film or television industry; or newly qualified lawyers looking for an entry opportunity into the film and television industry.

Key Responsibilities
• Coordinating the BALA team meetings, including diary management, preparing and issuing agendas, note-taking and keeping track of actions / outcomes.
• Reviewing contracts and extracting relevant information for internal stakeholders.
• Preparing and issuing standard development agreements to third parties, including talent agents, with supervision.
• Preparing and issuing a production pack of template agreements to production teams, with supervision.
• Maintaining BALA resources as instructed, including updating templates and policy documents.
• Regularly managing and updating on behalf of the BALA team deal information, including deal tracker and inputting data into group-wide online systems.
• Liaising with production teams with regards to BALA enquiries, with a particular focus on production clearances.
• General ad-hoc assistance to BALA team members across their production slate, as required.

We will consider applications for four or five days per week.

Qualifications
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Detail oriented with pro-active organisational skills.
• Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently.
• Excellent communication skills and a great team player.
• Experience or interest in the television production industry is preferred.
