Responsibilities
At NBCUniversal Local, Quality and customer experience is at the forefront of everything we do. To help us build automation for functional systems that improve customer experience, we are now looking for an experienced Automation Engineer.
The individual will be responsible for identifying the application automation areas and search for cutting-edge technology to automate functional part of the application and backend API's. We are looking for a strong team player, knowledgeable in automation frameworks for Web, App s and OTT. This candidate will work closely and report directly to the Director of QA and Operations. If you have a solid background in Automation engineering and are familiar with Selenium, Appium, TestNG, Junit and JavaScript, we'd love to speak with you.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain test automation processes in alignment with the project and/or organization's standards and tools.
• Perform thorough Manual and Automation testing on Mobile Apps, and MAC/Windows based browsers.
• Extensive experience with Selenium, Appium, TestNG Framework, Cucumber, Jenkins, JUnit, BrowserMob Proxy, Sikuli, and related technologies.
• Competent in the use of source code control systems such as GIT and IDEs such as Eclipse.
• Monitor and Capture Http Traffic using Charles proxy.
• Mature and evolve test architecture through the evaluation and adoption of new automation tools, techniques and practices.
• Collaborate with the development and release management teams.
• Participate in early story development and design sessions to suggest and assist in acceptance criteria, boundary tests, and automation plans.
• Experience with Set-Top Boxes (Roku, Amazon Fire Tv, and Apple Tv).
• Competent in using device farms (Sauce labs, Browser stack)
• Power user of defect tracking systems and test management systems. Experience in Jira and Zephyr highly preferred.
• Excellent understanding of front-end web technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax).
Qualifications
Qualifications/Requirements:
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, and/or Technology.
• 5+ Years of QA Automation Experience.
• Proficient in the understanding and application of Quality Assurance best practices and methodologies, along with proven experience in applying standards on major projects and product releases.
• Proven ability to initiate the sharing knowledge and experiences to facilitate continuous improvement.
• Experience with cross-browser, and cross-device compatibility testing.
• Act in a direct role to execute manual and automated quality assurance tests and document defects.
• Create and maintain test cases, test data, test plans and defect reports.
• Must have experience with CI/CD/CT.
• Able to work independently at a high level while part of a larger team.
• Very high attention to detail, completeness, and an eye towards process and quality improvement at all times.
• Outstanding interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong ability to resolve conflicts constructively; a great attitude.
• Ability to focus on the day-to-day while continuing to execute on the long-term vision of the product.
Basic Qualifications

• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be covered by Solutions - NBCU's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program

Salary range: $105,000 - $140,000
