NBCU's Commerce Partnerships team has revolutionized commerce within our premium content environment – with an innovative eCommerce marketplace that powers shoppable content and advertising experiences across the NBCU portfolio.

The Merchandising Associate is responsible for implementing merchandising strategy across the Commerce Partnerships business. Reporting to the Director of Content & Brand Strategy, this role will execute the merchandising of products within our eCommerce catalog, with the goal of providing the optimal customer experience, and strongest business outcomes. Those goals are achieved through creative decision making, and hands-on operational work across our tech stack, to maximize the effectiveness of our marketplace in line with industry best practices.

This person will interface directly with NBCU network editorial teams, and work closely with our Brand Strategy, Marketplace Operations, Project Management, and Product teams.

Responsibilities:
• Implement successful eCommerce merchandising strategies on behalf of NBCU portfolio brands. (E!, Bravo, Telemundo, TODAY, etc.)
• Own the merchandising of eCommerce sites and other shoppable activations, working within our catalog and content management systems to ensure all touchpoints are merchandised for maximum sales potential and audience impact.
• Oversee the creation and application of creative assets to ensure tone and perspective matches the needs and standards of brand clients and NBCU networks.
• Collaborate with the Brand Strategy team to determine how target brands should be best represented in shoppable content on digital, social, and linear.
• Support all activities of the Brand Strategy team, identifying relevant products for activations, requesting samples, ecommerce calendar planning, and assisting with amplification efforts via email/social.
• Create merchandising frameworks and shoppable content templates – implementing best practices and aligning with client goals.
• Collaborates closely with Project Management on tracking merchandising needs within project timelines.
• Build a strong relationship with internal team leaders to ideate on, promote and roll out tools/processes for improving merchandising efficiencies.

Qualifications
• 3+ years of professional experience with eCommerce retail merchandising. Strong knowledge of merchandising strategy and implementation, ideally with a focus on commerce activations/events, innovation and growth. Experience in Fashion/Retail is a plus.
• Experience working cross-functionality with creative, product, business, and operational teams.
• Ability to report on and analyze data to provide insights and optimizations for activation performance.
• Experience working within CMS and eCommerce platforms.
• Experience with Design tools like Figma & Adobe Photoshop.
• Excellent communication skills and presentation skills.

Salary Range: $65,000-$70,000
