Responsibilities
APPRENTICE PUBLICIST

Primary Responsibilities:
• Coordinate, prepare agendas, schedule meetings and take minutes when requested.
• Produce ad-hoc PowerPoint presentations, reports etc. for publicity campaigns and presentations.
• Produce reports on relevant publicity activity and ensure that these reports are accurate and provided in a timely manner.
• Liaise with territories to ensure they are informed and supplied with all relevant publicity material and talent access necessary to a successful release.
• Follow-up and assemble all information required for press junkets, tours etc.
• Work with Senior Publicist to coordinate press junkets, booking crews, hotels, glam, styling, security, Covid testing etc.
• Respond to press and film queries.
• Collate and disseminate information, e.g. reviews, press coverage, media releases at the request of the team leads.
• Assist with publicity assets as needed (UPI Media/PUMA)

Specific Responsibilities:

Press Events:
Long Leads / Touring / Junkets / Set Visits
• Assist in collating nomination calls for press junkets, long lead days, set visits etc.
• Assist with compiling press lists and talent grids for approval.
• Connect phone interviews, working across time zones.
• Assemble information for touring schedules - hotel charts, mobile phone lists etc.
• Support team with Tour/Junket/Content Day logistics and Travel (Including booking travel/visas plus creating travel grids, hotel charts, jet manifests and talent schedules)
• Talent handle at premieres, tours, festivals, press days.
• Travel on tour when required as a studio representative for filmmakers/talent/executives.

UPI Media/Materials
• Assist with the servicing of all Publicity materials (photographic, EPK, clips etc) across all titles if needed.
• Main point of contact for UPI Media.

Budget
• Assist in monitoring Publicity spend for the department with the ability to flag overspend.
• Responsible for PO generation and new vendor set ups.
• Ensure all invoices and credit card charges are correct and accounted for before submitting.
• Assist with all supplier/agency negotiations and quote approval – groomers, stylists etc.

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience in the entertainment industry, ideally in marketing or publicity
• Working knowledge of Microsoft-based software: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
