NBCUniversal Advertising Platforms & Operations is responsible for the product development, project management, and day-to-day operations of NBCUniversal's full advertising technology suite. From product management to program management, from sales enablement to sales operations, from product marketing to strategic communications, our division services both internal and external customers in support of NBCUniversal's $10B+ annual advertising business. Together, we're building the platform that powers the future of advertising at NBCU.

The Position
The AP&O Business Intelligence team leverages data to empower our business customers with actionable insights that drive business performance and fosters a culture of data-driven decision-making. We are seeking an experienced Manager, Analytics to quickly provide insights, in a scalable and supportable fashion, to business customers across Sales, Platform Monetization, Operations, Finance, Strategy, Measurement & Impact, and our own AP&O ad product teams.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Director, Analytics, the person in this role will:
• Use internal and external analytics tools, SQL, and scripting languages to access and analyze multivariate data
• Leverage analytics toolkit to build predictive and prescriptive solutions for growing the business
• Lead and execute complex ad-hoc research, analysis, and reporting
• Build and maintain proof-of-concept data solutions to quickly enable business customers with actionable insights
• Partner closely with our BI product teams to ensure proof-of-concept data solutions can be formally managed through our product development lifecycle
• Collaborate with business analytics teams across the organization to ensure accuracy and consistency in all business intelligence and analytics use cases
• Develop strong relationships with teammates, stakeholders and partners
• Support Senior Analytics Director in technical mentorship of analyst team, including code reviews

Qualifications
• BA or BS in a quantitative field (Business, Math/Statistics, Economics, CS, Engineering, or similar)
• 3+ years of full-time hands-on analytical work experience designing, building, and evaluating analytical datasets with strong focus on action-oriented outcomes
• Expert SQL skills for complex querying, analysis, performance optimization and persisting data
• Demonstrable Python or R data mining experience
• Demonstrable knowledge of statistical concepts (e.g., hypothesis testing, regression)
• Understanding of data management concepts, design, modeling and data engineering
• Excellent documentation and presentation skills
• Must be willing to adhere to all Company COVID-19 workplace safety policies and protocols.

Desired Characteristics
• Experience working for a large-scale media company, specifically within/supporting advertising sales

The base salary range for this role is $100,000 - $110,000.
