Responsibilities
Role Purpose
The Multicultural Marketing team is part of the marketing department of Universal Pictures. The team is responsible for engaging across all disciplines of film marketing to identify, refine, develop and integrate strategies and tactics to enhance and enrich outreach to Hispanic, African American and Asian American audiences.

The Assistant, Multicultural Marketing will be responsible for fulfilling administrative duties for the SVP, Multicultural Marketing and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Exceptional communication skills are crucial in order to interact across multiple disciplines within Universal Pictures' marketing department (i.e. Digital, Publicity) to help support efforts targeting the multicultural audience. The successful candidate will be curious, flexible and demonstrates initiative. Individuals must be able to efficiently handle a workload with changing deadlines and priorities.

Responsibilities
• Handle administrative tasks for the SVP, Multicultural Marketing, including but not limited to managing executive's schedule, coordinate meetings with various depts. and subsequent logistics with internal and external parties, conference calls, phone coverage, travel and interact with senior level executives and their assistants
• Prepare and process SVP, Multicultural Marketing's expense reports
• Manage all financial operations for the team including P-Card management. Must be able to accurately give updates on real-time spend to help the team accurately manage the budget.
• Process department's invoices via company's finance systems, including but not limited to vendor setups, PO creations, and maintain a log to track payment status
• Update budget trackers for each campaign
• Filter out strategic marketing materials to all team members including meeting notes, strategy briefs, scripts, etc.
• Take lead in compiling toplines for each campaign, working with all team members to bring their sections together into one cohesive document
• Maintain exit poll documents on a weekly basis
• Assist in building out decks for team presentations
• Manage team calendar with traveling schedules and important dates
• Develop internal multicultural marketing schedules/calendar for ongoing projects
• Manage promotional item orders & allocation with agencies and vendors
• Coordinate with other members of the Multicultural Marketing team to bridge work-gaps in the department when necessary

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
• 1+ year of experience in the entertainment industry
• Working knowledge of Microsoft-based software: Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint

Eligibility Requirements
• Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older

Desired Characteristics
• 4 year college degree in marketing or related field is preferred but not required
• Conversational Spanish is a bonus, but not required
• Strong written and communication skills
• Experience in multicultural marketing
