Job Description

Responsibilities
This position is highly-visible and plays a key part in the cross portfolio programmatic digital growth strategy through forging strong client relationships, technology expertise and analytics

Establish and cultivate relationships with demand partners, including Brands, DSPs, agency trading desks, video investment leads, and direct marketers/brands
• Serve as the primary point of contact for programmatic demand partners, drive new demand/revenue through Private Marketplace and Programmatic Guaranteed activation methods
• Steward the pre-sales process inclusive of preparing the RFP response, inventory checks, driving strategy, collecting collateral (research & marketing) and submitting the deal for internal approvals
• Provide optimization and bid guidance to client account managers across large scale campaigns and deal IDs, analyze bid density and optimization opportunities
• Expertise in data strategy including familiarity with DMPs and data ingestion/activation
• Position the value and the vision of aligning brands with real-time audience trends
• Expert knowledge of and passion for the Video, OTT (including and especially Connected TV), and the Streaming landscape
• Pro-actively manage renewal and up-sell of programmatic opportunities across a large and diverse group of advertisers and demand sources
• Improve internal processes, identify workflow improvements
• Collaborate with campaign management, product, and Operations to manage deal health, trouble-shoot if/as needed, and be solutions-forward on how to increase revenue through automation
• Act as a strategic SME for internal teams and sales colleagues across business units
• Help shape our programmatic strategy and approach, including the development of new programmatic offerings and refining our go to market approach
• Work closely with internal programmatic and ad ops teams to set up, manage and optimize programs
• Ability to collaborate and maintain effective working relationships within a cross-functional highly matrixed organization

Qualifications/Requirements
• 6+ years in digital advertising, with at least with 5+ years of experience in programmatic advertising sales

• Proven track record of exceeding all revenue goals
• Highly independent, motivated self-starter with the ability to excel in all aspects of the sales process (prospecting, high stakes pitch presentations, consultative sales, closing, and strategic account management and upsell)
• Extensive knowledge of online ad technology landscape including SSPs, exchange/RTB functionality, header bidding solutions, programmatic guaranteed, and general industry trends
• Expertise in working with SSPs, DSPs, ad exchanges, ad servers, and other optimization platforms
• Established industry contacts and rolodex, especially at Agencies, Agency Trading Desks, In House Teams and DSPs
• Ability to take a data-driven approach to maximizing revenue across a broad portfolio of premium properties on all platforms
• Highly analytical, strategic thinker, problem solver with strong attention to detail
• Team player with ability to work in a fast-paced, exciting environment
• Understanding of the agency, client landscape and ad-tech environments and comfort driving opportunity in all contexts
• Ability to interpret programmatic data patterns (delivery, bid rates, win rates, etc.)
• Comfortable supporting a large book of business across a wide variety of clients and agency accounts
• Entrepreneurial with strong interpersonal skills and work ethic
• Ability to lead projects independently from start to finish, working with internal and external teams to make decisions and maintain forward momentum
• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented startup environment
• Exceptional verbal, written, presentation and communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts clearly and concisely for a broad audience
• Excellent time management / project management skills, with ability to manage detailed work and communicate deal status effectively to all levels
