Responsibilities

NBC Sports Digital & Consumer Businesses is currently seeking a bright, motivated Training Specialist to join our fast paced, passionate Content & Enablement Team. The Training Specialist will be responsible for executing on training and enablement strategy set forth by the Department lead and facilitating and building learning best practices to increase our customer facing team's effectiveness. This includes onboarding training, sales training, continuation training and skills-based training, The Training Specialist should be viewed as a resource for both Sales and Customer Operations departments.

In this role you will:
• Assist in the planning, design, facilitation, instruction and evaluation of training classes on products and selling/communication skills and update the courses regularly to meet the needs of the organization
• Support and build training based on Content & Enablement department goals and initiatives
• Delivers company training programs and workshops to employees and managers
• Administration and facilitation of all Customer facing teams' onboarding, including sales, customer support, account management and onboarding
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to ensure strategic alignment and coordinate efforts on training, communication and department goals
• Support product launches through collaboration with Product and Marketing with regard to training the organization on new products
• Facilitate in person role playing sessions
• Use a variety of instructional methods to ensure maximum delivery effectiveness
• Manage testing and performance for all customer facing position hires while in onboarding
• Monitor employee's knowledge before and after training to help determine follow-up training required and to reinforce skills taught during training sessions
• Assist in the creation and delivery of continuing education and ongoing training for existing staff
• Work closely with Customer Operations, Sales Operations and Sales leadership to identify skills and areas needing improvement
• Utilize established SportsEngine curriculum to assist in developing new educational materials
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements
• Previous experience in teaching technical topics
• 2+ years of experience training and developing learning plans
• Demonstrated professional verbal communication skills, excellent written communication skills and experience as an effective group facilitator

• Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to own the company and department message
• Previous experience or proven familiarity with professional selling skills programs
• Experience in a customer-focused and results-driven environment
• Demonstrated ability to adapt training materials to changes in selling and customer environment
• Experience with LMS reporting functionality
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Previous experience in sales or familiarity with sales methodology, a plus
• Strong internet skills and high comfort level using web based applications, including LMS platforms
• Experience using salesforce.com or similar CRM system is a plus
