NBC Sports Next is hiring a Senior Advertising and Sponsorship Sales Executive for our Youth Sports & Recreation division. This position will be a key driver in sourcing, developing, and closing new advertising and sponsorship business and supporting the account management team in renewing and growing existing client business. With a primary focus on revenue generation through new business acquisition, this professional will work cross-functionally with sales operations and marketing to create, position, sell, and execute innovative advertising and sponsorship concepts across SportsEngine's portfolio of products and platforms. This person will be responsible for consistently developing and managing a sales pipeline, crafting and executing a successful sales strategy, and winning deals that create value for advertisers/sponsors, customers/users, and SportsEngine.

This role is in our Youth & Recreational Sports division, which is comprised of technology platforms, such as SportsEngine, GoMotion, TourneyMachine, and TeamUnify that enable athletes, parents, coaches and team administrators in the youth and recreational space to manage their organizations, collect payments, share schedules, find programs to participate in and connect with other families. Additionally, NCSI enables leagues and organizations to properly screen and train coaches in an effort to keep kids safe.

Advertising and Sponsorship Sales Key Responsibilities:
• Generate advertising and sponsorship revenue through both advertising agencies and direct-to-brand sales channels
• Develop, own, and execute a sales strategy through the entire sales process from prospecting/lead generation, to qualification/nurturing, to proposal/presentation, to close/win
• Consistently build and maintain a current and active sales pipeline allowing you, and your manager, to continually identify, define and quantify both existing and new revenue opportunities
• Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly reports (weekly activity reports, weekly account updates, proposal reviews, monthly projections/forecasts, etc.)
• Own, manage, and develop relationships with clients, agencies and advertisers through day-to-day interactions and actively grow industry relationships in order to gain marketplace intelligence
• Ongoing collaboration with the account management team to support renewal and growth of current client portfolio
• Coordinate with marketing and ad operations to answer RFP's, create pitches and close new business opportunities
• Consistently use and maintain CRM tool and utilize other platforms to perform daily business
• Clearly communicate and manage expectations internally and externally, while multi-tasking and handling multiple accounts at a time
• Build deep business relationships through continually delivering great service and results to clients
• Ability to continually learn new products as our industry is evolving, and proactively create new opportunities for you to communicate our value proposition to clients
• Generate revenue that meets or exceeds the annual budget and achieve company objectives through strategic and creative means

Qualifications/Requirements
• 3+ years of experience in sponsorship, advertising sales, preferably in digital media, and/or agency experience
• Strong knowledge of the digital media business -- content, display, and video advertising -- and fluency in the language of digital media and online measurement: impressions, CTR, CPMs, eCPMs, uniques, page views, visits, etc.
• Previous experience in developing creative marketing strategies, leading sales presentations, and influencing C-level stakeholders
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate clearly and effectively with senior level stakeholders

Desired Characteristics
• Experience in a matrixed organization and collaborating across key cross-functional roles that can include Strategic Planning, Business Development, Content, Advertising Operations, and Product Management
• Ability to leverage market research tools and data to translate information into successful sales and business narratives
• Strong analytic, strategic problem-solving and decision-making skills; ability to break down complex problems and formulate plans.
• Previous experience with with Salesforce, or similar CRM experience, is strongly preferred
• Demonstrate a growth mindset, view challenges as opportunities and approach every day as an opportunity to improve and grow
• A self-starter and problem solver with ability to exercise independent judgment and a strong work ethic to effectively manage your time to yield sales
• Ability to balance personal goals and targets with company strategy and business objectives
