Production Technician (Tech II – Audio)

Responsibilities

NBC Sports Philadelphia seeks an experienced Production Technician (Tech II) with Television Audio experience to work as a member of our operations team working in our studios and control rooms.The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast paced, live television production environment. This role is an integral part of a team that produces content that Philly sports fans want to consume.
Applicants must be able to work days, early mornings, nights, late nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities
• Work as a member of the technical staff to satisfy needs for Control room and Remote productions under supervision of Producer & Director
• Perform multiple production responsibilities in a TV control room and studio operation

Function in all aspects and duties of various technical positions (Stage Manager, Video Server Operation, Robotic Camera Control, Technical Directing, Teleprompter

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
• Degree in communications and/or equivalent work experience
• 3 years minimum television production experience
• 1 year minimum experience as an Audio Mixer – Calrec experience considered an advantage
• Experience operating Sony ELC automation control a plus
• Proficient in Live News, Talk and Remote/Studio production operations
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills required
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time while multi-tasking in a fast paced, high pressure, live production environment
• Must be available to work days, nights, late nights, weekends & holidays
• Must be able to lift 25lbs and set/strike studio/remote gear
• This position is represented by IBEW local 98

• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older
