Freelance Production Coordinator, Studio Operations - NBC Sports

Responsibilities

PLEASE NOTE: This is a project / limited term position with an estimated duration of 9-12 months, unless otherwise amended or terminated based on business needs.

The Production Coordinator, Studio Operations is an integral part of the Studio Operations team. You are responsible for supporting the production coordination and administrative needs of the assigned broadcast in Studio. In addition, as needed, you will be expected to interface and collaborate and assist with travel logistics and provide administrative support to colleagues working remote events to help facilitate all aspects of event organization and planning.

Responsibilities
• Support Production and Operations personnel during every phase of production in both the Studio and for teams on Remote.
• Coordinate in partnership with Tech Manager and Production team, daily schedule creation and distribution.
• Quickly learn and navigate internal databases and documents regarding broadcast schedules, crewing and personnel.
• Responsible for all aspects of travel logistics for Talent, Production and Crew (Air, Hotel, Ground Transportation).
• Provide substantial administrative support to both studio and remote colleagues in whatever capacity is required at a given time.
• Work with internal partners and vendors regarding Studio Logistics (Hair Make-up and Wardrobe Team, Crewing, Scheduling Team, HR, Building Admin (seating), IT, Event Catering, cleaning schedules, etc.).
• Coordinate host broadcaster event management including shipping of large-scale production equipment, both nationally and internationally, in partnership with teams on the road.
• Must be fiscally responsible in managing purchase cards and budgets of assigned Sports.
• Coordinate with NBC & various Broadcast partners, regarding show deliverables and Logistics.
• Occasional oversight of daily hire personnel for Production/Timecard Submission.

• Proven ability to adhere to tight deadlines, communicate clearly and be able to handle multiple tasks in a highly pressurized environment.
• Interest in the Operations side of Sports Broadcasting.
• Collaborative, team-oriented individual who is comfortable in a group atmosphere.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Communications or a related field, and/or equivalent experience.
• Minimum two (2) years' experience in an administratively focused position.

Additional Qualifications
• Proven self-starter who is willing and eager to assist and learn in every capacity.
• Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Work is imperative.
• Strong administrative skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, organizational and time-management skills.
