The Position
We are looking for a San Francisco-based HR Manager to support our team. The HR Manager will report to the GM/SVP and closely partner with Head of Human Resources for NBCU Local to support key strategic and operational people initiatives. The primary goals of this position are to help NBC Sports Bay Area leadership align organizational and people capabilities with the business strategy and needs, and maximize the employee experience, while driving a robust organizational climate to attract, develop and retain the right talent.

Responsibilities
• Act as primary HR business partner and support for people and managers of all levels
• Provide HR operational support for all Human Resources clients, including recruitment, on-boarding, off-boarding, compensation analysis, performance management, and reporting/analytics
• Provide day-to-day support to employees including responding to policy questions, resolving benefits questions/issues, and effectively address employee relations matters
• Process transactions in HR systems including promotions, new hires, terminations, organizational changes, etc. through required workflow processes
• Partner with people managers to support with employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and practices
• Support and facilitate organizational changes
• Liaise with HR specialists and partners, including Benefits and Payroll, to manage and resolve employee inquiries
• Serve as a proactive, balanced, advocate in all people operations matters
• Manage headcount and create job descriptions for open positions
• Partner with HR team and leadership to create, plan, and execute on-site culture building activities and events
• Support team with ad hoc projects as needed

Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of related experience
• Proven track record working in matrixed environments

Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be willing to work in San Francisco, CA
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must have a valid Driver's License

• Experience with HR information systems (i.e. SAP)
• Proven track record of forming effective relationships with client groups
• Ability to adapt quickly and be flexible in a dynamic environment
