The primary role of the Front End Developer, Business Services position is to assist in designing websites for golf courses around the world. In this role, a candidate will act as owner providing direction to the copy and design teams while managing their own design projects. A successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of front-end web design, experience in writing PHP, and will have multiples years of experience writing and editing code in WordPress . Ongoing improvement of these skills will be expected as part of the position.

Job Duties:
• Assist with front-end web design for golf course websites using WordPress
• Update the theme library. Keeping our golf course customer in mind, design theme demos based on what is most valuable to our partner.
• Create and design websites using WordPress from a selection of templates
• Write clear, SEO-focused copy in a variety of voices for golf course websites
• Complete basic SEO work for websites
• Establish brand guidelines to transfer clients from their current website to a new WordPress website
• Communicate design procedures and best practices for new features and functionality
• Transfer client's website content from their current site to their new WordPress website
• Proofread websites to ensure no grammar errors are visible
• Attention to detail: Client satisfaction is all about the details
• Collaborate with multiple teams throughout website design process
• Provide internal support to the website team on high-level support cases
• Keep track and update project orders through Salesforce
• Troubleshoot issues with and within WordPress, submit errors and bugs to development when they are outside of the designer's expertise
• Train and onboard new team members

• 3+ years of relevant working experience
• Ability to design websites using WordPress
• Ability to develop website templates using PHP, HTML, & CSS
• Intermediate to Advanced HTML/CSS knowledge
• Experience with Photo editing software
• Excellent communication skills which include the ability to interpret needs from a non-technical customer
• Ability to troubleshoot using browser development tools
• Basic SEO knowledge
• Understanding of website accessibility best practices
• Copywriting experience
• Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively; and natural inclination towards technical problem solving
• Produce error-free content: Content must be high-quality and in adherence with the company's style
• Self-starter, ability to complete work in a timely fashion
• Ability to handle multiple projects at once
• Ability to write clear, concise copy in a variety of voices over multiple mediums
• Training experience

Desired Characteristics
• Advanced problem solving and analytical skills a plus
• Some Golf knowledge preferred (terminology)
