Job Description
Responsibilities
The Director of Social Media sits at a pivotal point in the NBC Sports Group's marketing group,
overseeing the social media business from strategy to managing the social team.
Loving sports is great, but loving the intersection of social media, technology, sports and pop culture is also important.
This is a full-time role based in Stamford, CT.

Responsibilities
• Develop, implement and oversee social strategies for several NBC Sports social properties, including the Premier League, golf, motorsports, betting/gaming and more
• Lead a team of managers and coordinators to set and achieve season-long and annual
• engagement and audience growth goals
• Develop innovative, season-long social content plans that drive audience growth, meaningful engagement and viewership
• Coordinate closely with sales and integration teams to develop and implement sponsored and branded social content programs
• Serve as social point for all integrations across the consumer engagement organization, including experiential, digital, CRM and business development
• Act as a thought leader for the marketing group on emerging technology and audience consumption habits across social platforms and beyond
• Maintain, grow and develop new relationships with key league and team contacts for each NBC Sports property
• Own day to day relationships with key platform partners (Twitter, TikTok, Meta, etc.) to ensure NBC Sports is top of mind for content amplification and new product development

Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Digital Media, or a related field
• Extensive knowledge of sports and internet culture
• Familiarity and expertise in numerous properties in the NBC Sports portfolio, including the NFL,
Olympics, golf, Premier League, motorsports, etc.
• Experience and proficiency in design programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and
After Effects
• 5+ years relevant social management experience, including 2+ years managing people
• Ability and willingness to work nights and weekends as the sports calendar dictates
