Overview:

This role is within the NBC News group and you should apply if you are analytical, detail-oriented and passionate about understanding consumers and how they engage across our digital platforms. Our team conducts primary research to support all phases of the product life cycle – identifying opportunities, building new products and features and tracking impact over time. Our goal is to enable our internal stakeholders including editorial, design, engineering, marketing, and strategy teams to make informed, user-centric decisions and provide a best-in-class experience for our users. The job reports to the Sr. Director of Consumer & Product Insights.

Qualifications/Requirements

Responsibilities:
• Support the Insights team through the execution of

primary research, including designing and executing

user tests, surveys, moderated interviews, focus groups

and more.
• Work across all phases of projects, from research

planning to execution through reporting.
• Conduct research across key product areas including

web, mobile apps and connected devices (Apple TV,

Roku, etc.).
• Work independently as well as cross-functionally with
other teams including design, product, analytics,

engagement and others. Take direction and prioritize

various projects from multiple team members.
• Along with team members, represent the voice of users

to stakeholders across teams.
• Collaborate with team members to improve processes

where necessary.

Desired Characteristics

What you bring:
• Minimum one-year professional experience of

conducting UX research.
• You love to roll up their sleeves and get your hands dirty

and have an obsession with uncovering meaningful

customer insights.
• Self-starter who can handle multiple projects at the

same time. You're comfortable in a fast-paced and

changing environment.
• Self-driven and motivated to understand behavior,

context, and motivation.
• A degree in Human Computer Interaction, Human

Factors, Psychology is a plus, but practical experience is

just as valued.
• Experience using Usertesting.com, Qualtrics, and other

industry leading tools.
• Legally able to work in the US
