This is an opportunity to play a critical role in the digital evolution of NBC News, one of the world's best known and most trusted news organizations. NBC News Digital is responsible for the websites, mobile/OTT apps and content tools that power the NBC News, Today, MSNBC, Telemundo, CNBC and E! brands.

As a Sr. Technical Project Manager, you will be a key member of the News Digital TechOps team that helps manage and deliver on various cross-functional projects that support business objectives along with multifaceted integrations and will assist in defining Cloud based solutions within our AWS environment.

The Project Manager will be directly accountable for the project's results - using Agile best practices to plan, execute, and deliver.

The candidate must be a self-starter, have strong leadership skills, and able to multi-task multiple assignments. The role requires strong communication and relationship management skills to effectively deal with different teams, stakeholders, and executives. Proven, strong problem-solving/facilitation skills are a necessity.

Primary responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary IT point of contact for News Digital TechOps team on various objectives and initiatives to achieve measurable results.
• Work with cross functional teams to identify process and policy improvements. Ensure these policies and processes are documented.
• Create and maintain project plan and program view of the schedule / deliverables.
• Collaborate with other departments to identify achievable solutions, manage scope, project timeframes and budgets.
• Provide ongoing engagement and communications to Management.
• Formulate tactical plans and strategic roadmaps in support of business needs and priorities for the TechOps team
• Provide project management and manage project communications
• Develop and present team roadmaps to executive stakeholders and Technology Management
• Partner with various vendors on coming up with solutions that are relevant to our roadmap
• Liaise with leaders outside of Technology to review and improve various business functions throughout the News Digital portfolio as it relates to TechOps

Qualifications/Requirements
• Minimum 10 years work experience in either a project

management, business consulting, or technical support role
• Experience setting up and configuring AWS production

environments and AWS Services/tools
• Strong focus on documentation, e.g. writing spec and

project plans

Desired Characteristics
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Willing to work onsite at group's NY, LA or Seattle office
• Media/Entertainment industry experience strongly

technology services role
