Production Coordinator

Job Description

Responsibilities
• Coordinate and oversee the scheduling of TV directors for broadcast, cable, and digital platforms
• Responsible for the evaluation of scheduling alternatives in order to gain the most efficient processes
• Help identify emerging production trends, improve operations and workflows
• Conduct research on request and maintain a general awareness of industry trends, formats and competitive environment
• Manage calendar and scheduling for Sr. Managers of department
• Various administrative tasks as needed
• Assist in production management for large scale productions

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Two years' experience in TV production, scheduling and/or administrative duties
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Understanding of basic television production terms & procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours and respond during off-hours

Additional Job Requirements:
- Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news
- Schedules will rotate, but must be able to work varying shifts
- Must be willing to work in New York, NY
