At the NBC News Group, we're responsible for the best, most impactful news brands in the industry, including NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, Today, and E!. We care passionately about news and our ability to help our customers to get informed and inspired about what's important to them (and us.)

As a Product Designer on our Internal Tools team, you will ideate and grow our editorial experiences to better serve editors and producers working on our trusted brands. You will work with a passionate, editor-centric agile team to create and evolve the user experiences and workflows of our internal systems used for content management, and content curation, and more. This includes being a core contributor and co-facilitator in product discovery (research & synthesis, workshops, ideation), evolving our design systems to support the design solutions, and guiding those design solutions through the engineering process.

Success in this role is driven by the ability to collaborate with internal teams and design peers to grow the organization's UX expertise. Key to this is staying current on customer needs and behaviors, particularly as they apply to our editorial team's day-to-day experiences. This includes gathering input from and coordinating with teams like research, editorial, growth, broadcast, advertising, and business development to ensure a focus on data driven design solutions that have been validated with real users.

• Capture interactions, edge-cases, & the various states of these experiences through deliverables such as user flows, wireframes, and prototypes
• Work within, and contribute to, our design systems as well as cross-platform visual systems and languages
• Be a core contributor and/or co-facilitator in product discovery, from research and synthesis to workshops and ideation
• Use data to inform design decisions and continually validate your work with real users
• Map out user journeys and flows
• Partner and collaborate with internal teams including research, editorial, marketing, growth, broadcast, advertising, business development and others
• Utilize design thinking skills to gather insights and inputs from internal stakeholders
