Responsibilities
The NBC News Group is looking for an Executive Producer to oversee production of a weekly narrative podcast, hosted by one of our Reporters, that looks at news through a diverse perspective. The Executive Producer will be expected to work closely with the show's host and production staff to craft the editorial arc of each episode while maintaining a larger vision for the show as a whole. The EP will have a focus on cross platform collaboration and partner with MSNBC shows and streaming channels to co-produce content. The right person for this job will have experience building teams and inspiring people to do their best work under deadline pressure, but also be able to work with editorial teams across the MSNBC News division.

Responsibilities:
• Work with host and production staff to craft the editorial shape and sound of the show.
• Establish daily editorial agenda in consultation with staff
• Work with MSNBC programs and streaming platforms on co-productions
• Provide final editorial sign-off on each episode
• Develop a long term editorial plan for the show in consultation with MSNBC News management
• Ability to cover breaking news and shift podcast deadlines accordingly

Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• At least 7 years podcast production experience
• At least 7 years newsroom experience
• At least 5 years experience in editorial decision making
• At least 3 years of management experience
• Must be willing to work varied shifts as news changes
• Clear communication skills to manage staff to meet targets and goals
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects under deadline
• Strong knowledge of politics and current events
• Understanding of journalistic ethics and best practices
• Must be able to work across the MSNBC News division
