Responsibilities
Artworks, the graphics production arm of NBC News & MSNBC is looking for a highly-motivated and qualified Creative Director to lead the development and execution of NBC News special projects and initiatives, specifically tied to The Choice. The ideal candidate looks for new ways to tell a compelling visual story, while seeking interesting solutions to editorial objectives. Job responsibilities include:
• Creatively lead the daily visual needs for The Choice, executing and delivering everything from design and animation graphics in conjunction with editorial partners and the executive producer
• Storyboard and present conceptual designs to the executive producer and editorial partners
• Act as a conduit between editorial partners, managing delivery expectations and deadlines for ordered graphics
• Manage and supervise multiple projects, delivering creative solutions to meeting deadlines

Qualifications/Requirements
• 10+ years of professional work experience in a creative

group, in a 24/7, fast paced production environment
• Expert skill set in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop,

Illustrator and After Effects)
• Expert skill set in creating both animated and still

graphics
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects across

multiple platforms and deliver creative solutions
• Excellent communicator, organized, with sold news

judgement
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY
• Willingness to work extended hours, and on weekends

with short notice when needed
• Must be accessible 24 hours a day / 7 days a week

Desired Characteristics
• Knowledge and experience in Cinema 4D, and VizRT real

time graphic production
• Previous experience working in news production and

broadcast design
• Excellent communicator
• Organized
• Solid news editorial judgment
