Job Description
Responsibilities:
• As a late shift Producer for the TODAY show, you will be responsible for pitching, developing, and turning news of day pieces for next day air.
• Produce original news content, primarily for broadcast, including research, conducting interviews, writing and editing scripts, field producing and shooting, and overseeing editing
• Role is expected to both pitch story ideas and work on assigned stories developed by the editorial team
• Work with Standards & Legal Team to ensure Editorial Standards of all segments

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• Must have at least 4-5 years' editorial experience working in production at the network level, preferably with morning television
• Must have a Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications or related discipline
• Must have experience working with an editor
• Must be able to shoot and edit
• Must have experience working with on-air correspondents
• Must have strong journalistic writing skills, research skills, and editorial judgment
• Demonstrated strong knowledge and interest in news and current events
• Strong interpersonal skills and storytelling ability

• Required to work Sunday –Thursday 4pm – 12am, or later (overnight in the capacity of Crash Producer)
• Must be willing to work overtime, nights, holidays, and weekends, often with short notice
