Job Description
Responsibilities
• Writing clean, fast, accurate copy, including headlines and photo captions
• Pre-writing news stories for announcements, embargoed studies, etc.
• Growing your source list with the goal of delivering exclusives and scoops
• Publishing explainers that help readers understand confusing or complicated health news
• Making full use of the range of NBC News resources, including network newsgathering and multimedia

Qualifications
• At least three years' experience working in a newsroom and writing daily stories, preferably for a digital publication, including at least one year of experience covering health
• Experience writing engaging headlines
• Must have the desire to work in a creative, demanding, fast-moving and competitive environment
• Must be a skilled writer with outstanding communication skills
This role can be based in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco or Washington, DC
