Responsibilities

We are expanding and growing NBC News Now big time and fast. Come join us for the launch of NBC News Daily which will air across streaming platforms and NBC affiliates live in the afternoon.

We are looking for associate producers who thrive in a fast-paced, quickly changing and deadline driven team environment.

Responsibilities/Job Duties
• Editing video and graphic elements for a live show on a tight deadline
• Video editing using Adobe Premiere and AVID
• Pitching relevant and compelling segments, guests and pieces that will resonate with our audience
• Collaborating with producers and correspondents to research and write scripts as needed
• Working closely with EP, producers, correspondents, and anchors
• Staying up on the news and jumping in as duty calls

Qualifications

You are strong in all the following ways:
• You've been working in digital video, broadcast or cable news for 2+ years
• You're comfortable editing digital video and you want to get even better at it
• You want a career in journalism and stay up on the news across multiple subject areas
• You've got big ideas and want to develop your journalistic writing and research skills to bring them to life
• You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• You're able to work calmly under intense deadline to finish a project
• You check and double check your work to ensure accuracy
• You are willing to work in New York, New York

Desired Qualifications:
• You thrive working in a collaborative team environment
• You pay attention to the details of everything you work on
• You have prior experience shooting in the field on DSLR cameras
