Responsibilities
NBC News is looking for a highly motivated Associate Producer with a passion for news. This role is based in Chicago.

Responsibilities
• Assist and contribute to all aspects of news content production for all platforms of NBC News.
• Contribute in story development, with editorial research, conducting pre-interviews and on-camera interviews. Gather visual elements and field produce live shots as directed.
• Collaborate effectively with the broadcast news shows, MSNBC, NBC News Now, Digital, NewsChannel and the affiliates.
• Coordinate with technical and operations staff and outside resources.
• Pitch story ideas to all the platforms.
• Assist assignment desk staff when needed.

Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Must have at least two years editorial production experience at a network or cable outlet, with experience in gathering visual elements.
• Must have solid research skills and editorial judgement.
• Must have excellent writing and communication skills.
• Must have strong organizational skills with an eye for details.
• Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills, and collaborate effectively with all the NBC News platforms.
• Must be social media savvy & proficient in tracking, finding, licensing user generated content.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, under tight deadline pressure.
• Must be able to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift with little or no notice as dictated by business needs.
• Must be willing to travel.
• Must have a Bachelor's degree.
